About Us

Castle Vale Community Housing Association (CVCHA) is a community based housing association operating for, and from within, Castle Vale. CVCHA is run by a Board comprising of 14 members - the majority of whom are residents. CVCHA currently employs 80 staff, several of whom are local residents, and manages just under 2,500 properties.

In 2004 Castle Vale Housing Action Trust (HAT) tenants voted for CVCHA to be their 'successor' landlord - polling an impressive 94% of all votes cast. Our success in the ballot stems from our clear focus on five important points:-

We are based on the Vale
We keep your money on the Vale
We are run by Castle Vale residents
We keep homes in a good state of repair
We invest only in the Castle Vale community

CVCHA believes its continued strength depends on the ongoing engagement and support from the residents of Castle Vale. CVCHA would like to provide an opportunity for every resident of Castle Vale to become involved in some way. For information about becoming more involved with CVCHA please contact us.

All board members and staff are committed to delivering excellent housing and housing related services. CVCHA also accepts and supports the need to improve residents’ broader quality of life (improving health chances, reducing crime and anti-social behaviour and addressing concerns about the environment and our key service providers). Many of these wider objectives have been the focus of our Community Safety team, the Castle Vale Community Regeneration Service act as the drivers behind the work of the Neighbourhood Manager/ Neighbourhood Partnership Board.
